Snow Pikachu

Just following the release of the Rugged Mountain area and its corresponding set of Décor, the Pokémon Global Link has just released a promotion that allows players to obtain a set of winter-themed Décor. For North American accounts, the password, NPWINTER, can be obtained from the December 2011 issue of Nintendo Power magazine, while other international accounts can obtain the Décor without entering a password. The promotion runs from Nov. 17, 2011 to March 1, 2012. Décor obtained from the promotion include a Snow Pikachu and candy cane furniture, all available for free.

As of yet, the promotion remains available only to those with American Global Link accounts. This is the first time promotion-exclusive Décor were made available to non-Japanese Global Link accounts.

In other news, the previously-reported promotional Altaria (Tyltalis) is now available to those with Japanese accounts. While initially reported to only be obtainable from one-time use codes, it can be accessed through the password 「みねうちチルタリス」 Blunt Strike Tyltalis. As hinted by the password, the Altaria will know False Swipe, a move only obtainable before from Swablu hatched from bonus eggs from Pokémon Box Ruby & Sapphire. The promotion for the Altaria with False Swipe and the Hidden Ability Cloud Nine ends on Nov. 30.
