Icaruspedia, a wiki focused on the Kid Icarus series, joined NIWA today. Icaruspedia has joined to become the twentieth wiki in the group. This join date coincides with the English release of Kid Icarus: Uprising.

Icaruspedia is the Kid Icarus wiki that keeps flying to new heights. After going independent on Jan. 8, 2012, Icaruspedia has worked to become the largest and most trusted independent source of Kid Icarus information. Just like Pit, they'll keep on fighting until the job is done.

Kid Icarus: Uprising is the first game to be released in 11 years, with the most recent game being Kid Icarus: Of Myths and Monsters, which was released in November 1991 in the United States, and had no Japanese release.

NIWA, short for Nintendo Independent Wiki Alliance, is an alliance consisting of 20 wikis. The first three were Bulbapedia, ZeldaWiki, and Super Mario Wiki. The alliance soon grew to six, later to ten, and now to the current twenty. A twenty-first member is expected to join on Mar. 30.
