Mewtwo amiibo

A Mewtwo amiibo has been displayed at San Diego Comic-Con, alongside other upcoming amiibo. This Mewtwo amiibo is part of the Super Smash Bros. series of amiibo

amiibo are a range of figures that can be scanned on the Wii U GamePad or New Nintendo 3DS touch screen (or the upcoming NFC reader/writer) to unlock content in compatible games. Occasionally, games save data to amiibo.

This Mewtwo figure can be scanned into Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Super Smash Bros. for Wii U in order to put a Figure Player Mewtwo into the game (a computer-controlled opponent that can be trained and leveled up). It can also be scanned in other games with universal amiibo support (such as Hyrule Warriors and Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker), but is not specifically supported.
