Additional pages from the adaptation of sixteenth Pokémon movie, 「神速のゲノセクト ミュウツー覚醒」 ExtremeSpeed Genesect: Mewtwo Awakens have surfaced. The manga is illustrated by Momota Inoue, who also adapted the 13th, 14th, and 15th movies.

Mewtwo in its new form is featured in the 16th movie scans. One page mentions that Mewtwo's new form is faster than the ExtremeSpeed Genesect. Mewtwo is shown battling Genesect. Genesect is shown battling a Feraligatr. A Kangaskhan is also shown in one of the scans.

One of the Genesect from the Genesect Army tags along with Ash, with Ash saying - "I'm sure that it can't disobey the Red Genesect. After the Red Genesect gave it an order, it looked odd..." in the scene. The web-like thing that was featured in one of the movie trailers is connected with electricity, and supplies the electricity for New Tork City. In one scan, Eric says "Because Genesect entwined themselves around where the threads of the nest connect to the transformer substations, there ended up being short-circuits all over. We can't control the energy like this...!"
