Update: A new update is available for Android that brings to game up to version 0.41.4. It contains only minor fixes.
A new update is available for Pokémon GO, which adds new features including a type-based capture bonus and improved Gym training. This update brings the game to version 0.41.2 in iOS (labelled 1.11.2 on the App Store) and version 0.41.3 in Android.
With this update, Medals for catching a number of Pokémon of a specific type now give the player a capture bonus for Pokémon of that type. Catching 10 Pokémon of a particular type gives that player a +1 capture bonus for that type; catching 50 of that type gives a +2 bonus; and catching 200 of that type gives a +3. Badges already earned provide capture bonuses immediately after updating. If a Pokémon has multiple types, the bonus will be the average of the bonuses for each type.
When training at a friendly Gym, players can now bring six Pokémon (rather than just one), and the CP of the defending Pokémon may be temporarily lowered to make the training easier.
Egg and Incubator screens will now periodically update the displayed distance walked. Previously, the player would need to close and re-open the screen to see the distance update.
The update also decreases the evolution animation time. Additionally, the updates fixes several audio issues and makes some minor fixes.
