A new Pokémon game for Android and iOS, titled Dancing? Pokémon Band, is available in Japan to promote to upcoming Pikachu short Pikachu and the Pokémon Band and the Hoopa movie. The game requires an internet connection to play and is available for free. The game will be downloadable until September 30, 2015, and can be played until October 29, 2015.
It requires iOS 7.1 or higher, or Android OS 4.4 or higher. It requires 80MB to install and 250MB when playing.
The game features only one song, Roaring All-Stars. This is the opening song of the Pikachu short Pikachu and the Pokémon Band as well as the current ending theme of the Pokémon anime.
Gameplay
To play the game, the player taps the buttons in time to the falling musical notes. The closer to the center of the button the note is when tapped, the more points are earned.
If the player matches the rhythm well by tapping multiple notes in a row, the combo gauge will fill. If combo gauge fills completely, the player enters bonus time, in which back-up-dancer Pokémon and a score multiplier appear.
