Pokémon GO is launching a new Pokémon GO Travel video series, accompanied by a worldwide Global Catch Challenge.
The aim of the Global Catch Challenge is for players to catch 3 billion Pokémon in 7 days. The challenge starts now and concludes with the Pokémon GO event in Tottori, Japan on November 26, 2017. The rewards are as follows:
- Bronze (500 million catches): Double XP, 6 hour Lure Modules, and more Pokémon appearing globally
- Silver (1.5 billion catches): Bronze rewards, plus double Stardust and even more Pokémon appearing globally
- Gold (3 billion catches): Bronze and Silver rewards, plus Farfetch'd available worldwide and Kangaskhan available in east Asia
The Global Catch Challenge is to promote Pokémon GO Travel, a new official video series which features a group of notable Pokémon GO community members from around the world traveling to Japan. Featured Trainers include Rachel Quirico, IHasCupquake, and Coisa de Nerd.
