A new update for Pokémon GO that brings the game to version 0.51.0 (labelled 1.21.0 on the iOS App Store) is currently being rolled out for iOS and Android. This means that it will not be available for every device right now, but will over the next few days.

This update fixes a bug that caused incorrect vibration notifications. It also tweaks day and night mode to better reflect the time of day in the player's location.

Patch notes

  • The bug that caused incorrect vibration notifications has been fixed.
  • Day and night modes have changed to more accurately reflect the Trainer’s current time of day.
  • Minor text fixes.
