After previous successful Pokémon competitive battling tournaments in Gamerbase's Manchester and London branches, the company have opened registration for the fourth event at their Manchester branch (which is located in the HMV Market Street store), which will be taking place on July 21st, 2012 between 10am and 8pm (Registration is between 10 and 11:15am and will require the usual £5 fee to cover the costs of the venue and event).

Battles in the tournament will be conducted using the current official Play! Pokémon regulations (most commonly known as VGC12 rules). Players are required to bring their own Nintendo DS or 3DS systems and their own copy of Pokémon Black Version or Pokémon White Version.

The first place prize is a Champion's Trophy and Winner's medal, with the runner-up receiving a Runner-up trophy and medal, while the third place winner will also receive a medal. You can register for the tournament with your Gamerbase account here (If you do not have a Gamerbase account, registration is free).

A full list of the event's rules and regulations can be found on the event's Gamerbase page.
