In Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, players will start in Twinleaf Town after receiving starter Pokémon from Professor Rowan, according to an update on Pokémon.com. Japanese screenshots were used for showcasing the protagonist's rival and Manaphy's abilities.
Manaphy's ability is Hydration, lets it recover from status problems in the rain. Its signature move is Heart Swap, which swaps healing effects from other Pokémon.
