The Japanese fan site Pokeani is back online with a new lease on life after a two-year hiatus from activity. Updates resumed on New Year's Day.

The site, which was at one time a leading source of information for Japanese Pokémon news, closed in January 2010 when the webmaster, Yōnansu, did not have enough time to manage it. At the time, it was stated that the site would only be offline temporarily.

With the relaunch came a new logo and new site layout.

Messages on the site indicate that the site is at present a historical archive of years gone by, although updates will be forthcoming. An upcoming wiki site is also mentioned.
