Since last Friday, GAME stores across the United Kingdom have been offering downloads of the Mythical Pokémon Meloetta, allowing Pokémon fans to download the Melody Pokémon onto their copies of any of the Generation V games and will be continuing to do so until April 19. Unfortunately though, reports have been coming in from fans from various parts of the country indicating that some GAME branches do not appear to have the distribution cartridges yet and more alarmingly, some stores appear to be restricting the availability of the download to people who pre-order Pokémon X or Pokémon Y, or otherwise make a different in-store purchase.

The advertisement that might have led to possible misunderstandings

Today, an image emerged online of an event advertisement found within a GAME store, which reads the following:

Pre-order Pokémon X or Y and get Meloetta for Pokémon Black & White today
  -- Event advertisement

It's likely that any possible confusion could have stemmed from the wording of this statement, as it could have two possible meanings: The first and correct one being "Pre-order Pokémon X or Y, as well as get Meloetta", as well as the second and incorrect "Pre-order Pokémon X or Y to get Meloetta".

It's important to note that these reports are few in number and the majority of branches are distributing Meloetta as should be - for free. However, if you're unsure about whether your local branch has the event, it might be worth phoning them in advance.
