To celebrate the European launch of Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, Cartoon Network, Nintendo and Toys 'R' Us have teamed up to create a tour of the United Kingdom throughout August. The tour will feature a costume competition and the first distribution of Mew in the UK since 1999.
Only under 12s accompanied by a parent are eligible for the costume competition. Winners of each local event will earn a DS, a Cartoon Network goodie bag and a copy of both Diamond and Pearl. In addition, two runners up will win the Cartoon Network racing game for the DS.
To obtain a Mew, all that is required is a GBA with a game with a Pokédex that is saved at a Pokémon Center.
