The seventh global mission for Pokémon Sun and Moon, "Fish Pokémon at Rare Spots!", is now live. In this global mission, players have to reel in as many Pokémon and items while fishing at bubbling fishing spots as possible. The global mission runs until June 12, 2017.

If all players worldwide reel in at least 500,000 Pokémon and/or items at bubbling fishing spots, all participants will receive 2,000 Festival Coins. If the goal is not met, all participants will receive 200 Festival Coins. Additionally, if all players worldwide reel in a total of 1 million Pokémon and/or items at bubbling fishing spots, participants who have registered their Game Sync ID at the Pokémon Global Link will receive a Lure Ball.

Participants who have registered their Game Sync ID at the Pokémon Global Link will earn double the Festival Coins: 400 Festival Coins if the goal is not met or 4,000 Festival Coins if it is. PGL members who reel in at least 3 Pokémon and/or items at bubbling fishing spots will also earn five Rare Candies regardless of the success of the mission.

Note that the English Pokémon Global Link incorrectly states that the goal is 250,000 Pokémon and/or items and the bonus goal is 500,000 Pokémon and/or items. The Japanese Pokémon Global Link correctly states the goal and bonus goal that are the case in-game.

To join the global mission:

  1. Talk with the global mission receptionist in the Festival Plaza castle and enter the global mission.
  2. Reel in as many Pokémon and/or items at bubbling fishing spots as possible before June 12, 2017, at 00:00 UTC.
  3. Check in with the global mission receptionist in Festival Plaza before June 12, 2017, at 00:00 UTC to record your progress.
