A day of release update has been released for the 3DS. Firmware update version 1.1.0-1 is to help with wireless communication, system stability and improve the SpotPass function. It is recommend by Nintendo that the update should be done to the Nintendo 3DS system as soon as possible.

The system-update will require the 3DS to connect to the Nintendo website via a wireless internet connection. Steps to do this can be found here - http://www.nintendo.com/3ds/system-update. The update also comes with a 3D video. OkGo's 'White Knuckle' in America, and a short 3D display video in the UK.

NOTE: This update does not include the Internet browser and Nintendo eShop upgrade. These are still to come at a later date.
