{{p|Aegislash}} and {{p|Blastoise}} have been announced to be available as playable characters in {{bp|Pokkén Tournament DX}} as part of upcoming paid {{wp|downloadable content}} (DLC).


Wave 1 releases on January 31st,  Aegislash as a playable character, plus support Pokémon Mega Rayquaza and Mimikyu.
The DLC will be sold in a Battle Pack, which features two waves of DLC. The first wave of content will be available from 31 January 2018 and features the technical-style Battle Pokémon Aegislash and a new Support Pokémon Set including {{me|Rayquaza}} and {{p|Mimikyu}}. The second wave will be available from 23 March 2018 and features the new Battle Pokémon Blastoise and a new Support Pokémon Set including {{p|Mew}} and {{p|Celebi}}. The Battle Pack will also include new avatar items and other unspecified content.


Wave 2 will have Blastoise as a playable character, plus support Pokémon Mew and Celebi.
The Battle Pack is currently available for purchase, although the content will not be available until the aforementioned dates. It costs US$14.99 in the United States and ¥1,852 in Japan.
 
This DLC is only for the {{bp|Nintendo Switch}} game Pokkén Tournament DX; it will not be available for the {{bp|Wii U}} game {{bp|Pokkén Tournament}}. No details have been announced for the arcade version of the game.
