An e-mail sent today to Amazon.com customers who had requested to be notified regarding Wii has painted a bleak picture for those impatient to purchase Nintendo's latest console. For every 100 e-mail sign-ups for information regarding Wii, the online retailer will have only one console for sale on Sunday, the system's launch date.

Amazon.com has stated that it does expect to receive more shipments of Wii throughout the holiday period, though if this will be enough to cover the expected high demand is still unknown.
