After eight years of Pokémon action, Cartoon Network India has shifted the Pokémon anime to its sister channel, Pogo. In March, the anime made its debut with the tenth season, Pokémon: Diamond and Pearl with a two-hour block dedicated to the anime on Pogo, which ended up wrapping the first two seasons of the Diamond and Pearl series in mid-April.
Pokémon Diamond & Pearl: Galactic Battles premiered on April 18, with the four brand new episodes. For the very first time, a new season of the Pokémon anime premiered on a channel other than Cartoon Network in India. The show will continue to air on Cartoon Network Pakistan for its Pakistani viewers. However, it is unknown as of yet whether Cartoon Network India will resume its airing in the future or not.
The finale of the twelfth season is scheduled to premiere on May 23, 2011.
