Bulbacast Season 3 Episode 1 was recorded on September 1, 2007 and released on September 5, 2007.

Topics discussed

  • DP044 - 迷子のヒポポタスを助けろ! Save the Stray Child Hipopotas! is the 44th episode of Diamond & Pearl. It aired in Japan on August 23, 2007.
  • DP045 - ハンターJ再び!タテトプスを守れ!! Hunter J Returns! Protect Tatetops! is the 45th episode of Diamond & Pearl. It first aired in Japan on August 30, 2007. The Pokémon Hunter J returns with a group of Shieldon as her next target. Gary appears to help Ash stop her.
  • PPN dubbed DP045 the 'Tater Tots' episode as Tatetops has a similar pronunciation and spelling.
  • Are the movies part of the same time line as the anime arc? The cast discusses the evidence for and against this theory.
  • Paul is similar to Ash as they have both traveled to Kanto, Johto, Hoenn and now to Sinnoh. Both characters have been in the same tournaments but it's unknown if they were in the tournament at the same time.
  • Paul is destined to lose against Ash in the Sinnoh tournament as the bad guy never wins.
  • Sakaki had a 'real' speaking role in DP043. Usually when a Japanese voice actor dies, their characters die with them. 鈴置洋孝 Hirotaka Suzuoki was the original voice actor for Sakaki. Sakaki has made many non speaking cameos though.
  • The Diamond and Pearl Filler episode have been a lot better than Advanced Generation.
  • DP025 - Oh do you Know the Poffin Plan aired in the United States on September 1, 2007 on Cartoon Network.
  • DP026 - Getting the Pre-Contest Titters aired in the United States on September 1, 2007 on Cartoon Network.
  • With the airing of DP026, it puts the dub 20 episodes behind the Japanese airing.
  • Why it takes so long to release games in different regions. PPN suggests language select for all games similar to how Gyakuten Saiban 3 implemented it.

News and upcoming events

  • An anime episode based on Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Time and Darkness Expeditions will air Sept. 9 on TV Tokyo during Pokémon Sunday. The protagonists of the episode will be Pochama and Hikozaru. The previous Mystery Dungeon anime episode, Setting Out: Pokémon Rescue Team Ganbarus! aired in the United States before it aired in Japan.
  • Only two new episodes of Diamond and Pearl will air in September. DP046 - 迷路でシャッフル!みんなでハッスル!! Maze Shuffle! Everyone Hustle!! is the 46th episode of Diamond & Pearl. It is scheduled to air in Japan on September 13, 2007. The other episode, DP047 - ミルとケーシィと水の底! Miru, Casey and the Water's Bottom! is the 47th episode of Diamond & Pearl. It is scheduled to air in Japan on September 27, 2007.

Speculation

  • Mystery Dungeon animes haven't been released on DVD for sale. Cast theories that the two episodes could be bundled together sometime in the future.
  • Possible shipping of Dawn and Gary in DP045? Hardcore shippers think so but the cast doesn't.
  • Was Pokémon Hunter J's client in DP045 Professor Rowan?
  • Archaic and TSS_Killer believe that Gary will be showing up a lot more in future episodes.
  • Sakaki could be killed off if a G/S remake is released and an anime is based on the G/S remake.
  • Could the dub be airing closer to the Japanese release because PUSA knows that Pokemon fans are able to get information about the episodes a lot faster than they could when the series first started?
