Pokémon.com's mailbag section has responded to fan speculation about the possibility of a theatrical release of the 10th Pokémon movie, "The Rise of Darkrai". Unfortunately, they announced that the movie will be coming straight to DVD after its premiere on Cartoon Network. Fans had begun to speculate about the possibility of a theatrical release following a comment at the end of Cartoon Network's special airing of three Pokémon: Diamond and Pearl episodes on Friday that the movie would be on Cartoon Network "months before" coming to theatres, but today's news dispelled any such rumors.

Cartoon Network will air "The Rise of Darkrai" on February 24th.
