Details about Pokémon GO connectivity in Let's Go Pikachu! and Let's Go Eevee! were announced in Pokémon's latest trailer video. Details about sending Pokémon, catching Pokémon, especially Legendary Pokémon, and the introduction of GO Parks were showcased.

Players will be able to send any Kanto Pokémon caught in Pokémon GO, including their Alolan forms, over to Let's Go Pikachu! and Let's Go Eevee!. These Pokémon will be able to be recaptured at the Go Park, which replaces the Safari Zone in Fuchsia City. The Go Park is comprised of 20 parks, each of which can house 50 Pokémon. However, this is a one-way process. You can use multiple Pokémon GO accounts to transfer Pokémon.

If players transfer 25 of the same species of Pokémon, they can also play a minigame in its Play Yard, which will involve leading all of the Pokémon to a goal with a time limit. If players beat the minigame, they'll be rewarded with various Candy, which can be used to power up Pokémon. In the Nintendo Switch games, there are stat- and species-specific Candies e.g. a Quick Candy will increase the Speed stat. Players can also earn Candies by sending Pokémon to Professor Oak.

Alolan Pokémon won't be available in the wild in Let's Go Pikachu! and Let's Go Eevee!, so players must transfer the Alolan forms from Pokémon GO.

The trailer also showcased how Legendary Pokémon encounters work. Players will need to defeat the Pokémon which subsequently triggers a catch encounter, which works like the Pokémon GO catch screen. There are also special cut scenes for Legendary Pokémon.
