Information regarding the future of {{bp|My Pokémon Ranch}} has come to light following an announcement on the Pokémon.com mailbag.  


This update, released in Japan on November 5, 2008, allowed the Platinum-exclusive forms for {{p|Giratina}}, {{p|Shaymin}}, and {{p|Rotom}} to be stored on My Pokémon Ranch, along with several other new features.
My Pokémon Ranch was released in early 2008, and is compatible with {{game|Diamond and Pearl|s}}. Following the release of {{game|Platinum}} later that year, an update was released for Japanese players. International players had been waiting to update their games, but an recent announcement may see them waiting forever. Pokémon.com's mailbag (an official publication usually published twice a month) today posted the following question and answer:
