The Nintendo 3DS was revealed at the recent conference.

Nintendo's recent E3 conference, held earlier today, has revealed much new information for Pokémon fans, including the name of the latest Ranger title and more information about the Nintendo 3DS.

The third game in the Ranger series, originally translated as Pokémon Ranger: Locus of Light, is now known as Pokémon Ranger: Guardian Signs. This title seems to draw reference to Ranger Signs, an element of gameplay that was introduced with this game. Little other information is known at this stage; the game has not yet been released on Pokémon.com and no English boxart has been published. This game, which features villainous organization the Pokémon Pinchers (previously known as Pokémon Nappers) was released in Japan on March 6, 2010.

The other upcoming game for the US, PokéPark Wii: Pikachu's Adventure, has been given a release date of "Holiday 2010". The European version will be released this month; the Japanese version was released on December 5, 2009.

The upcoming console, the Nintendo 3DS, had a lot of data revealed:

  • Its name is confirmed to be the 3DS, with a logo similar to the previous DS logos.
  • It comes with a 3.53-inch top screen and a 3.02-inch bottom touch screen.
  • It has an analog stick, a gyro pad and a motion sensor.
  • The 3D depth and the 3D effect decreases can be controlled.
  • Like the Nintendo DSi and the Nintendo DSi XL, it is equipped with cameras—on the 3DS is it possible to take 3D photos.
  • It can view 3D movies like How to Train your Dragon.
  • It is able to connect wirelessly to the Nintendo DSi.
  • It can come in two known colors: a metallic blue\black splice, and red.
  • It has a new way of communication that downloads games regardless of what game are you playing.

No Pokémon games for the 3DS have been announced yet; the next games to be released in Japan, Pokémon Black and White, have already been confirmed for the standard Nintendo DS.
