The Eon Ticket, an item which allows trainers to capture Latias in Omega Ruby or Latios in Alpha Sapphire, will be distributed in the US using solely the StreetPass function of the 3DS family. Upon receiving an Eon Ticket from another trainer, players will be able to revisit Southern Island to catch their version's Legendary Pokémon. Nearly 1000 Pokémon Leagues across the country will begin the event by distributing codes to Play! Pokémon participants. After the initial kickoff, StreetPass will be the only method used to transfer the Eon Ticket among players.

All players are encouraged to keep the StreetPass function on whenever possible so no opportunities to obtain the Eon Ticket will be missed. Attending Play! Pokemon events and tournaments may increase the odds of acquiring this special item. As a reminder, Latios or Latias is required to use the free flying feature in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. Trainers will be able to find and capture other Legendary Pokémon in Mirage Spots in the skies over Hoenn.
