Maddie Blaustein, the voice of Meowth in the English-language Pokémon dub from 1998-2006, died Thursday, PokéBeach and Serebii.net are reporting. An official statement on behalf of Blaustein's family and colleagues is expected on Wednesday, according to PokéBeach.

Bulbanews has read a transcript of the conversation between PokéBeach and an anonymous source affiliated with 4Kids Entertainment and believes the transcript and the source to be authentic.

However, Bulbanews has not independently confirmed the report and will post official confirmation if or when it becomes available.
