Pikachu, Pancham, Lugia, and Latios will be distributed at Japanese 7-Eleven stores from July 18 to August 16, 2015, being available in pairs. The Pikachu and Pancham are based on Ash and Serena's.

Ash's Pikachu and Serena's Pancham will be available from July 18 to 31, 2015; Lugia and Latios will be available from August 1 to 16, 2015.

To obtain the serial code, players must complete a stamp rally. To collect a stamp, a player must take their Japanese region Nintendo 3DS to a 7-Eleven store between 7 am and 7 pm that has 7Spot, open the Nintendo Zone Viewer on the Nintendo 3DS, touch "DS at 7SPOT", then touch "Pokémon DS Rally", and then a "Get Stamp" button will appear. Upon tapping the "Get Stamp" button, the Nintendo 3DS system will obtain a virtual stamp. The player can only obtain one stamp per store per day. If the player has two stamps, they can choose which of the two Pokémon available during that period that they want. If the player decides to save the page, they can access it later, although the announcement recommends players write the code down.

This code can then be redeemed in Pokémon X, Y, Omega Ruby or Alpha Sapphire. Each of the Pokémon can only be obtained once per game.
