The Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console versions of the Generation I core series games will be able to send Pokémon to Pokémon Bank. From Pokémon Bank, they can then be transferred to the newly announced games Pokémon Sun and Moon.

The functionality to do so is not currently in Pokémon Bank, and will be added in a future software update.
