After a brief delay due to the massive 9.0 earthquake in Japan on March 11, the Pokémon Global Link service will launch (and relaunch in Japan) on April 13. The original opening date was set for March 30, but requests from the Japanese government to lessen power usage caused the service to be delayed.

Pokémon Global Link is a computer tie-in with Pokémon Black and White Versions, the latest games in the main series Pokémon video games. The feature allows players to sync their game with the Global Link servers to play in the Dream World, view battle data, and download content to their games.

Update:  The announcement that was previously on Pokemon.com has been removed for unknown reasons. It is not known if this is a retraction of the date, or simply a technical glitch.
