The fully evolved forms of the starter Pokémon, the guardian deities, a new Alola Form, and details on the Pokémon League and Battle Tree have been revealed in a new trailer for Pokémon Sun and Moon.

Decidueye is Grass/Ghost-type Pokémon and the evolved form of Dartrix, which is the evolved form of the starter Pokémon Rowlet. It has the Ability Overgrow. Decidueye is the only Pokémon that can learn the new move Spirit Shackle, which is a Ghost-type physical move that prevents a Pokémon it hits from fleeing or switching out.

Incineroar is a Fire/Dark-type Pokémon and the evolved form of Torracat, which is the evolved form of the starter Pokémon Litten. It has the Ability Blaze. Incineroar is the only Pokémon that can learn the new move Darkest Lariat, a Dark-type physical move that deals damage while ignoring that target's stat changes.

Primarina is a Water/Fairy-type Pokémon and the evolved form of Brionne, which is the evolved form of the starter Pokémon Popplio. It has the Ability Torrent. Primarina is the only Pokémon that can learn the new move Sparkling Aria, a Water-type special move that heals burn from the target.

Cosmog is a Psychic-type Pokémon that is said to be extremely rare, known only to a select few across Alola. It has the Ability Unaware. It was named by the Aether Foundation. When light falls on the Pokémon, Cosmog can absorb it and grow bigger.

Tapu Lele is a Psychic/Fairy-type Pokémon and the guardian deity of Akala Island. It has the new Ability Psychic Surge, which turns the field into Psychic Terrain, which boosts the power of any Psychic-type moves used by Pokémon on the ground and prevents them from being hit by priority moves. Tapu Lele can learn the new move Nature's Wrath (which was revealed alongside Tapu Koko), which reduces the HP of a Pokémon hit by it by half.

Tapu Bulu is a Grass/Fairy-type Pokémon and the guardian deity of Ula'ula Island. It has the new Ability Grassy Surge, which turns the field into Grassy Terrain, which boosts the power of any Grass-type moves used by Pokémon on the ground and restoring a bit of HP to them each turn; it also halves the damage taken from the moves Earthquake, Magnitude and Bulldoze. Tapu Bulu can learn the new move Nature's Wrath (which was revealed alongside Tapu Koko), which reduces the HP of a Pokémon hit by it by half.

Tapu Fini is a Water/Fairy-type Pokémon and the guardian deity of Poni Island. It has the new Ability Misty Surge, which turns the field into Misty Terrain, which halves the damage taken by Pokémon on the ground from Dragon-type moves and prevents them from being afflicted with status conditions or confusion. Tapu Fini can learn the new move Nature's Wrath (which was revealed alongside Tapu Koko), which reduces the HP of a Pokémon hit by it by half.

Alolan Persian is a Dark-type regional variant and the evolved form of Alolan Meowth. It can have either Fur Coat or Technician as its Ability. The round face of Alolan Persian is a symbol of the rich Alola region, and it is held to be a Pokémon of great beauty. Its exquisite coat shines with the glow of high quality and enchants both humans and Pokémon.

All of the guardian deities (including the previously revealed Tapu Koko) can use the special Z-Move Guardian of Alola. When using this Z-Move, the Pokémon closes its shell and a huge avatar appears from the ground to attack the opposing Pokémon, dealing damage equal to 75 percent of the target's remaining HP.

In previous core series games, the Pokémon League was the ultimate battle stage for Trainers, and housed the Elite Four and Champion, all awaiting challengers. In the Alola region, there is no Pokémon League yet, but there are plans to construct one on the peak of the region's tallest mountain, Mount Lanakila.

The Battle Tree is a new battle facility in the Alola region. Trainers who have completed their island challenge, or who are strong enough to have done so, battle each other here. When the player defeats an opponent, they can scout that opponent so that they can fight together in future battles in the facility. Cynthia, Wally, Red and Blue can all be battled here; Wally has his Mega Pendant.
