Honedge

After appearing in a special video recorded by Junichi Masuda at the Japan Expo yesterday, The Pokémon Company International has announced the English name of Hitotsuki, a new Steel/Ghost-type Pokémon that appeared during the presentation to be Honedge. The Pokémon Company International also confirmed that the Pokémon is capable of learning the move Swords Dance.

Press release

Its official description is as follows:

It is now known that Honedge comes into being when a departed spirit possesses a sword that once belonged to humans. It can use the blue cloth attached to its hilt as nimbly as an arm. Pokémon Trainers who carelessly take this blade in hand may find the blue cloth wrapping itself around them and draining their energy!
