A Pokémon Scrap campaign was previously run from November 1, 2014 to April 30, 2015, although it was extended significantly into 2015. Pokémon Scrap numbers could be obtained from participating types of Pokémon merchandise. The Pokémon Scrap numbers could then be entered on the official website, on which players could then redeem a certain amount of Pokémon Scrap numbers for a particular Pokémon or item of their choice. Upon redeeming their amassed codes, players would receive a serial code to enter in Pokémon Omega Ruby or Alpha Sapphire to obtain that gift.
