At the upcoming Pokémon Lab science attraction in Nagoya, players can obtain a serial code for the Johto starter Pokémon by completing a challenge.

"Pokémon Laboratory: Anyone can make a new discovery!" is an upcoming science attraction at the Nagoya City Science Museum in Sakae, Nagoya, Japan. It opens on December 23, 2015 and runs until March 6, 2016. The attraction is open from 10 am to 5 pm (last ticket sales are 30 minutes before closing). This attraction was previously held in Tokyo from July 8 to October 12, 2015.

Visitors who successfully complete the Professor's Mission at the Pokémon Laboratory in the "Lab 1" area will obtain a serial code to obtain the Johto starter Pokémon in Pokémon X, Y, Omega Ruby, or Alpha Sapphire. Upon completion, the participant selects which of the starters they wish to obtain.

The serial codes are available for the duration of the attraction (from Dec. 23, 2015 to March 6, 2016). (The museum is closed from Dec. 29, 2015 to Jan. 3, 2016; on Jan. 8, 12 and 15 and Feb. 19; and on Mondays, except on Jan. 4 and 11, so serial codes cannot be obtained on these days.) There is a maximum of one serial code per visitor. The serial codes can be redeemed from July 8 to November 30, 2015. The serial codes can only be used on Japanese region games.

Chikorita will know the moves Tackle and Growl. Cyndaquil will know the moves Tackle and Leer. Totodile will know the moves Scratch and Leer. They are all level 5.
