The June 2013 International Challenge has opened registration for the competition. Participants are allowed entry on a first come first serve basis with a maximum limit of 50,000 entrants. A participant must have a Pokémon Black 2 or Pokémon White 2 game with a Game Sync ID registered in the Pokémon Global Link. The competition will take place from June 21 to June 24.

The battle format used will be Double Battle, with rankings decided based on player ratings at the end of the competition. Participation requires a Pokémon Trainer Club membership, a wireless Internet connection and a registered game.

In each of the three age divisions, the top 128 North American and top 128 European players will earn Championship points that go directly to qualifying for the 2013 Pokémon Video Game World Championships.

All participants who enter the ranking will earn 15 Berries; five Apicot Berries, five Petaya Berries and five Ganlon Berries.

The full list of competition rules and where to register can be found here. This among other things lists the courtesies one should show during the competition, what Pokémon and moves are legal for play, and how to register.
