Shiny Pichu

Recent CoroCoro scans revealed the forms of Arceus when a plate is held, as well as information on two giveaways to be held this year.

From April 18 to May 11, players of the Japanese Platinum may obtain Oak's Letter via Nintendo Wi-Fi. This allows players to go to the Flower Paradise where a level 30 Shaymin can be found. This Shaymin, like the Shaymin given away at Nintendo events, may also unlock the Gracidea Flower in Floaroma Town. It will be in Land Forme with the moves Defense Curl, Magical Leaf, Leech Seed and Synthesis. This will be the third item given away via Wi-Fi.

Similar to the Regigigas given away last year and the Deoxys given away in 2007, Nintendo will be be giving away a Pokémon to players who pre-order tickets to the 12th movie between March 16 to July 17. Players of Diamond, Pearl and Platinum who have pre-ordered the tickets can received a shiny Pichu starting June 19, based on the special Pichu to be featured in the movie. This will be the third Pokémon given away by Nintendo in its shiny form, the others being a Milotic and Zigzagoon. No other information on the Pichu is known as of yet.
