Sadly, this special GBA SP appears to not be the same model as the Limited Edition Rayquaza GBA SP released in Japan via Pokémon Center Online last year, featuring none of the embossed images of Rayquaza that the Japanese version boasted. Instead, this SP is a simple flat Emerald Green colour (As opposed to the metallic Emerald Green used in Japan), with no special markings.

Not to be outdone by Nintendo of Japan's recent quiet announcement of a Red Nintendo DS, Nintendo of Australia has quietly revealed that they will be releasing a limited edition Game Boy Advance SP, to coincide with the release of Pokemon Emerald for Game Boy Advance in Australia.

Department store catalogues across the country for this week have revealed that the SP will be released in a pack including the Limited Edition Emerald Green Game Boy Advance SP, a battery charger, and a copy of Pokemon Emerald for Game Boy Advance, for around A$200. This represents a saving of about A$20 on buying the console and game individually.
