Manaphy eggs on Pokémon.com

An image of a Manaphy egg was discovered appearing, disappearing and reappearing on Pokémon.com, the official American Pokémon Web site, Wednesday. Its appearance means at least one of two upcoming announcements for American fans: either the English-language debut of the ninth movie, Pokémon Ranger and the Prince of the Sea: Manaphy or a way to obtain a Manaphy egg in the DS game Pokémon Ranger.

Players of Pokémon Ranger have previously discovered an option in the game's Ranger Net feature to unlock a password entry mode. This mode, not present in the Japanese game, is suspected to be the key to obtaining the Manaphy egg. The egg can then be transferred to Pokémon Diamond and Pearl and hatched to receive Manaphy. Once obtained, Manaphy can be bred to obtain another Pokémon, Phione.

Fans should expect an official announcement within a week. Bulbanews will provide information as it becomes available.
