The Hollywood Reporter reports that Bill Nighy and Chris Geere will join the cast of the upcoming live-action movie, Detective Pikachu. However, their roles have not been mentioned.
Bill Nighy is known for films such as Lawless Heart and The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel. Chris Geere is known for the FXX comedy You're the Worst.
Rob Letterman is directing the movie, which began filming in January in London. Ryan Reynolds will be voicing Detective Pikachu. Justice Smith will play the male lead, and Kathryn Newton, will play the female lead Lucy, and Ken Watanabe will play Detective Yoshida.
The film is set to debut in cinemas on May 10, 2019.
