On July 8th, more Pokémon Sword and Shield news was announced in a new trailer released by Pokémon.
New Pokémon
- The Rock-type Pokémon, Rolycoly was revealed. It has the abilities Steam Engine and Heatproof.
- Alcremie was revealed as a Fairy-type Pokémon which has the ability Sweet Veil.
- Duraludon was revealed as a Steel-type and Dragon-type Pokémon with the abilities Light Metal and Heavy Metal.
- The trailer also showed more gameplay of Yamper.
Characters
- Chairman Rose is the head of the Pokémon League in the Galar region.
- Oleana was revealed as Chairman Rose's secretary.
- Bea and Allister are two new Gym Leaders who will appear. Bea is a Fighting-type trainer and will only appear in Pokémon Sword. Allister is a Ghost-type trainer who will only appear in Pokémon Shield.
Dynamax
Alcremie, Corviknight, and Drednaw were all shown to have Dynamax forms.
