A new Pokémon soundtrack CD of music from the classic Pokémon Red and Green Versions is due for release in Japan on April 27, 2016. This album appears to replace the older, out-of-print release Game Boy: Entire Pokémon Sounds Collection CD.

Pokémon Red and Green Super Music Collection will be a four-disc set — the first two discs will feature a combined total of 45 tracks from Pokémon Red and Green Versions, plus one bonus track. As a full track listing has not yet been released, it is not currently known if the bonus track will be the "Pokémon Techno Sound Effect Compilation" from the older Entire Pokémon Sounds Collection. Due to the total number of tracks from Red and Green being 46, it is extremely unlikely that the Pokédex entries from the Entire Pokémon Sounds Collection will be included.

Discs three and four will include music from Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen Versions. Both discs will have a combined total of 73 regular tracks and seven bonus tracks. This is likely to be the same track listing as Pokémon FireRed & Pokémon LeafGreen: Super Music Collection, except for the ten tracks from the original Red and Green, which would be made redundant by the first two discs of this album.
