The Pokémon Trading Card Game kicks off the Aspertia Season by revealing this cycle's promotional items. In the past, players who attended the TCG Leagues received Gym Badges of the respective Season. This upcoming cycle, players will receive special code cards which will be used to unlock special Pokémon on the Global Link.

Today, Pokemon.com revealed that the Pokémon distributed for the Aspertia Season will be none other than the Pincer Pokémon, Scizor. Scizor will be available for download between December 20, 2012, and February 21, 2013, and will automatically come with Steel Wing and Pursuit .

To receive this promotion, players will need to register for a Pokémon Player ID, as well as register onto the Pokémon Trainer Club, and attend a Pokémon Trading Card Game League. There, the host of the League will present them with a code card which can be used to download the promotional Pokémon for that Season.
