Pokémon Platinum's Australian box art

Today, Nintendo Australia officially announced Pokémon Platinum Version, which will be released in Australia and New Zealand on May 14, 2009, one week before the game's release in Europe on May 22.

The announcement follows rather late if compared to the European announcement in February. It confirms the release date listed on Australian online retailers since March.

Pokémon Platinum is the third role-playing game released for the fourth generation of Pokémon. The game was released in Japan Sept. 13, 2008 and in North America March 22, 2009.
