As seen in recent commercials for the Pokémon Diamond and Pearl games, where players are shown talking to each other while battling over the Nintendo DS WiFi network, Nintendo have announced the release of a special earphone/mic for the DS, to be released on September 14th.

Thusfar, this earpiece has only been confirmed for use with three games. Metroid Prime Hunters, Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, and DS, a new game which is to be released on the same day as the earpiece.

The earpiece will retail in Japan for ¥1,200 (approx $10.20 US).
