The Nintendo Direct Japan's presentation has ended. The presentation covered the Wii U's features, its cost, and the release date for Japan. The Nintendo Wii successor, Nintendo Wii U, to be launched on Dec. 8, 2012.

The console will be available in two different sets, basic and premium. The basic set (white, 8GB) is of 26,250 yen, while the premium (black, 32GB) one costs 31,500 yen. The Wii U GamePad is available for 13,440 yen when sold separately, but is also available with a vertical stand. Along with that, an HDMI cable will be included in the Wii U box, but it will not include a sensor bar. All 'Virtual Console' and 'Wii Ware' games can be imported from Wii to Wii U.
