The fifth Manchester tournament to be held on April 13

After the closure of the Gamerbase branch in Manchester, Nintendo UK, Nugget Bridge and PokémonWorld have announced their fifth Manchester Pokémon tournament. This time it will take place in the Kyoto Lounge venue on Saturday April 13, 2013. The tournament will be using VGC13 rules and will be free to enter.

Battles in the tournament will be played using the current official Play! Pokémon rules with the ages categories of seniors being 13 and over and juniors being 12 and under. Players are required to bring their own Nintendo DS or Nintendo 3DS systems and their own copy of Black, White, Black 2 or White 2 Versions.

The first place prize is a Champion's Trophy, a Pokémon plush toy and assorted Pokémon Trading Cards with a Nintendo 3DS XL for the senior winner or a copy of Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity upon release for the junior winner. The second place prize is Pokémon plush toy and a Nintendo goodie bag with a runner-up trophy for the senior runner-up. The senior third and fourth place prizes are semi-finalist trophies.
