Nintendo today revealed the current pre-order figures for Pokémon Diamond and Pearl in the United States. With four days to go until Sunday's release, more than 533,000 pre-orders have been taken for the two games.
This more than doubles the pre-order figures of Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen in 2004. Pokémon Diamond and Pearl have consistently ranked among the top-selling video game products on Amazon.com. Nintendo expects them to be among the top-selling games for all of 2007. It is yet to be seen whether the U.S. release will be able to match the Japanese release, which has shipped over five million copies.
