Today, the official Japanese website updated its Pokémon Battle Revolution page adding some new details of the game, some of which have also been revealed a couple days ago by scans of the latest Coro Coro issue, as well as revealing the game's Japanese boxart.

PBR's main mode is the Colosseum Mode in which the player battles in ten different Colosseums with the ultimate goal to become the new champion of POKéTOPIA, a theme park on a southern island in which the Colosseum Mode takes place. Each Colosseum has its own Colosseum Leader similar to Gym Leaders from the main RPG games. Only the first Colosseum Leader, Ruin, who wears clothes that look similar to Lucario, has been revealed so far.

Pokémon Battle Revolution is able to store up to 32 Battle Passes, passes similar to the Trainer Card and Frontier Pass of the main Pokémon RPGs that keep record of a player's Pokémon and his or her won battles. The Battle Pass also holds a picture of the player's Trainer character that can be customized with different hair styles, clothing and accessoires. In order to create a Battle Pass, it is apparently necessary to transfer six Pokémon from Diamond and Pearl to Battle Revolution. Players without Diamond or Pearl have the option of a Rental Pass.

Players who win at Colosseums will earn PokéCoupons which can be used for buying items in PBR's shop. Some of the purchased items can be transferred to Pokémon Diamond and Pearl.
