Pokémon Bank, the 3DS software that allows online storage of Pokémon, plus transfer of pre-Gen IV Pokémon via Pokémon Transporter, has appeared on the 3DS eShop in Europe and Australia. The software was originally scheduled for launch around Christmas 2013, but extremely high traffic brought Nintendo's servers down and caused the software to be removed from the Japanese eShop, and postponed for all other regions.

Pokémon Bank returned to the Japanese eShop on January 22 2014, and was added to the Korean eShop on the same date. Today's release in PAL territories leaves North America as the only major region still awaiting the software.
