Following the recent announcement of Pokémon Best Wishes Season 2 Da! in this month's issue of CoroCoro Magazine, a new promotional poster has surfaced online from an as-of-yet unidentified source that has revealed some new information about Ash, Iris and Cilan's upcoming journey in the Decolora Archipelago:

- The Johto Gym Leader Clair will be returning, with her return most likely featuring a Shiny Druddigon and a confrontation between her and Iris' Dragonite.
- Ash will at some point meet up with a Butterfree. It is currently not known if it is the same one he owned during the original series. Today's episode of Pokémon Smash did however, air the episode Bye Bye Butterfree.
- For a currently unknown reason, Iris' Emonga is seen with the Team Rocket trio.
- A future episode will possibly feature a disagreement or battle between Ash and Cilan
- It is possible that Ash will bid farewell to his travelling companions, as the word "Sayonara" (Goodbye) is seen above an image of Iris waving.
