Nintendo recently released a press release stating that the pre-order sales of {{bp|Pokémon Black and White Versions|Pokémon Black and White}} have exceeded one million units, making these games the fastest selling {{bp|DS}} games ever. The games have received much attention from English and Japanese audiences and these sales prove that Pokémon is still popular as a franchise. Nintendo expects the pre-orders to reach 1.5 million before their September 18th release. This is only Japanese sales, however, as the games have yet to receive a release date outside of it's Spring 2011 date.
