Nintendo recently released a press release stating that the pre-order sales of Pokémon Black and White have exceeded one million units, making these games the fastest selling DS games ever. The games have received much attention from English and Japanese audiences and these sales prove that Pokémon is still popular as a franchise. Nintendo expects the pre-orders to reach 1.5 million before their September 18th release. This is only Japanese sales, however, as the games have yet to receive a release date for American fans outside of its Spring 2011 date.
